Conveyancing Assistant – Regional Law Firm (Tunbridge Wells, Kent) Hybrid working on offer!
My client, a well-established regional law firm based in Tunbridge Wells, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to support their dynamic property department. This role offers the chance to join a reputable team where high-quality client service and staff development are prioritised, with the option of hybrid working for greater flexibility.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting fee earners in the preparation and processing of documents for residential property transactions
- Carrying out property searches and collating relevant documentation
- Liaising professionally with clients, agents, lenders, and solicitors to facilitate a smooth transaction process
- Keeping files and records well-organised and up to date
- Handling client communications and queries in a friendly, responsive manner
- Assisting the team in meeting key deadlines and ensuring compliance with legal obligations
What we're looking for:
- Prior 2 years of experience in a legal setting or a good understanding of conveyancing procedures
- A high level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confident in using office software, particularly Word and Excel
- A team player who can also work independently with initiative and reliability
