Legal Cashier – Boutique Law Firm | Whitstable

My client , a highly regarded boutique law firm with multiple offices in the Whitstable area, is currently seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their friendly, professional, and inclusive team. The Role:

As a Legal Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in the firm's finance function, ensuring all transactions are managed in compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing client accounts with strict adherence to SRA guidelines.
• Processing daily financial transactions, including CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payments (FPS).
• Handling payments, receipts, transfers, manual cheques, and cash banking.
• Posting firm expenses (including fees and travel).
• Managing invoices from platforms such as InfoTrack and HM Land Registry.
• Performing filing and routine administrative tasks to support the finance team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience working in legal accounts (essential).
• A solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A self-motivated and highly organised approach to work.
• Familiarity with ‘Indigo’ software (preferred but not essential).
• Availability to start promptly and ideally located within commutable distance to Whitstable.
